Streaming Strength: WPT Goes Big on World Championship With Live Event, Cash Game Coverage Starting Dec. 8

Poker fans who can’t make it to Las Vegas in the coming days for the WPT World Championship Festival still have the opportunity to follow much of the action live from the Wynn.

The World Poker Tour announced on Wednesday that several events will be streamed on the tour’s YouTube and cash games in poker history.

“Live streaming was always going to be an instrumental component to our World Championship schedule,” WPT CEO Adam Pliska said in a news release. “We are committed to presenting some of the most compelling poker content and our live streaming schedule helps assure global reach, highlighting some of the excitement on property during the 20th anniversary World Championship Festival.”

Starting times vary daily, but those tuning in to the streaming coverage will find up to 12 hours of action. A $50/$100 Vlogger Cash Game kicks off the coverage Dec. 8 at 12:30 pm (PST)with some Andrew Neeme as well as Johnnie “Vibes” Moreno, Ethan “Rampage” Yau, and more.

A ladies cash game follows on Dec. 9 with limits up to $50/$100. The stream features notable women in poker with an all-female commentary team.

On Dec. 10-11, the tour brings back the Rail Heaven high-stakes cash game. Stakes run as high as $1,000/$2,000 with some big names taking part including:

•  Phil Ivey – WPT ambassador, Poker Hall of Fame member, 10-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner
• Eric Persson – high stakes regular and CEO of Maverick Gaming
• Ben Lamb – high stakes regular with one WSOP bracelet win, 2011 WSOP player of the year

The first tournament action hits the streaming schedule on Dec. 12 with the final table of the $25,700 High Roller. As part of tournament streaming, the tour is also partnering with the Only Friends podcast for a live show prior to each championship starting flight. The pregame shows start at 9:45 am on Days 1A, 1B, and 1C. Look for interviews with special guests live from the Encore Ballroom.

A $50/$100 cash game spotlights popular poker content creators on Dec. 14-15. Twitch streamer and YouTuber Alexandra Botez highlights the lineup.

More coverage of the World Championship begins on Dec. 16. That includes Day 3 through Day 5 on Dec. 18. Streaming of the tournament culminates with the final table on Dec. 20.

Even more awaits viewers at home. The conclusions of the $1,100 WPT Ladies Championship and $1,100 WPT Prime Championship stream on Dec. 18 and 19. The WPT will film all three championship final tables for television as well.
