PokerGO Teams With StormX for Second Invitational Poker Tournament; Daniel Negreanu, Tom Dwan, Doug Polk, Maria Ho Playing
StormX and PokerGO will again host a star-studded tournament bringing together the world of poker and Las Vegas.
The event features celebrities, athletes, and pro Maria Ho, Tom Dwan, Doug Polk, David Williams, Xuan Liu, and others.
“The first-ever StormX Invitational Poker Tournament was such a hit that we absolutely had to run it back for a second year,” StormX CEO and co-founder Simon Yu said in a news release. “We are proud to continue to grow our partnership with PokerGO and create another can’t-miss event for crypto and poker enthusiasts both competing on the felt and watching from around the world.”

The first event was held in March with 111 entries. Oliver Blakey, managing partner at Ascensive Assets, came out on top for $183,150. Maria Ho, recently named as a StormX ambassador (more on that below), is excited to see the event returning.

Maria Ho s StormX as ambassador
As noted, StormX recently named Maria Ho as a brand ambassador. The youngest player ever inducted into the Women in Poker Hall of Fame in 2018, Ho is a well-regarded poker pro and a crypto enthusiast.

StormX teamed up with PokerGO earlier this year as the company’s first cryptocurrency partner. The partnership includes cross-promotion by Ho and StormX across social media. Ho will also wear a StormX patch to all high-profile events and appear in television commercials for the brand.
