WSOP Las Vegas Main Event satellites also begin
According to WSOP.com, PA players can also win a seat to the WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas beginning in September. Satellites run every Sunday at 6 pm (ET). Players can also win smaller qualifiers to get into the Sunday event.
“I like having the opportunity to win a Main Event seat from my home in Philly,” says Peter Cicali, a poker player from Philadelphia. “Winning a $10,000 seat is one of my goals this fall.”
In July, WSOP.com officially debuted its online poker site in Pennsylvania. Since then WSOP.com offered eight bracelet events in August for Pennsylvania players and multiple tournament promotions.
At this time, WSOP.com Pennsylvania doesn’t share a player pool with other states. Players must be physically located within the state boundaries to play.
